Our client is a luxury automotive company based in Chichester who are seeking a Bespoke Planner to join their team.
The role
The Bespoke planner will be responsible for:
Feasibility and costing of design and manufacture coach build interior trim parts / features from design concept through to integration into production ramp-up.
Project management of coach build activities required to deliver bespoke features from concept to production.
Set-up of Leather shop Production processes and equipment for coach build features.
Coordinate implementation of planned activities, including development and pre-production phases, to deliver coach build features on time and to budget / quality requirements.
Detail equipment specifications, raise purchase orders, manage the suppliers, co-ordinate installation and commissioning of new machines and tooling relating to coach build topics, co-ordinate builds as per the coach build.
Process Plans to bring new coach build features into production.
Skills and experience required:
At least 3 years process planning role experience with the following skills:
* Ideally, technical expertise in one or more of following specialisms – Leather: trim cutting, sewing and covering, and assembly processes
* Ability to interpret engineering CAD data and tolerances,
* Excellent organisational, presentation and project planning skills
* Good IT skills
* Fluent English is essential and basic German is desirable
* Knowledge of SAP/CAD or Vis View
